DTN COMMENTS:  A few more bids are on the table at midday in parts of 
Nebraska, and Iowa but these bids continue to be passed. In the last two 
days we have seen light movement, with Southern live sales marked at $260, 
$3 higher than last week's weighted averages, Northern dressed deals have 
been at $400, $2 to $3 lower than last week's weighted averages. These 
trade volume totals are rather light, more trade will need to take place 
at some point this week. 

Beef cutouts are lower at midday (choice 389.98 -0.75, select 389.86 -
1.41) with light to moderate box movement (42.47 lds of choice cuts, 6.01 
lds of select, 11.27 lds of trim, and 8.23 lds of ground). Cattle futures 
at midday are sharply higher on both live and feeder contracts.
