DTN COMMENTS:  A handful of dressed steers have been reported sold in 
Eastern Nebraska to a Regional this morning at $386, but not enough to 
establish an accurate trend for the week. A few more bids are now on the 
table. Some asking prices in Nebraska are being noted around $388. 
Significant trade volume may be delayed until Thursday and/or Friday. 

Beef cutouts are mixed at midday (choice 385.09 -1.09, Select 390.26 
+3.06) with light to moderate box movement (50.78 lds of choice cuts, 
2.50 lds of select cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 4.35 lds of ground), with 
a choice/select spread of -5.17. At the top of the noon hour both live 
and feeder cattle futures sharply lower.
