DTN COMMENTS:  The cash cattle market is starting to see some 
cattle trade as Southern live cattle are moving at $282, 
which is $3.00 lower than last week's weighted average, and 
some light trade has been noted in the North at $351, but not 
enough cattle have sold in that region to say an accurate 
trend has been established just yet.


Beef cutouts at midday are lower, Choice $374.17, down 0.28; Select 
$357.80, down 2.14. Load count: 45.75 choice cuts; 8.54 select cuts; 7.68 
trimmings; 7.67 ground beef.
